Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-05-20
What you're paying for
The Pro plan is a one-time $9 USD purchase that unlocks: access to all curated welcome-light presets across all supported BMW models; hex export from the configurator; and save/load of your custom animations to your account. There is no subscription — you pay once and the unlock persists for the lifetime of your account.
What you're not paying for
You are not paying for a service that BMW provides or endorses. BMW Welcome Light is an independent community project. The animations you copy and load into your car via BimmerCode (or equivalent) are applied at your own risk. We don't ship hardware. We don't write to your car. You do.
Eligibility and supported cars
We support the BMW models listed at /models . Compatibility depends on your car's FLM2 module and psdzdata version; we cannot guarantee compatibility with every variant of every model. If your car isn't compatible, our refund policy applies — see /refunds .
Acceptable use
You may use the app to design, preview, and export animations for your personal vehicles. You may share the hex bytes and configurator share-URLs freely. You may not resell access to the Pro plan, scrape the preset library, or attempt to bypass the paywall.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is". We make no warranty that the animations will work on every variant, that the byte format will continue to match future iDrive/firmware versions, or that the service will be available without interruption. We're a one-person project shipping fast — bugs happen. Report them and we'll fix them.
Liability
We are not liable for damage to your car, your warranty status, or any consequence of loading the generated bytes into your vehicle. Coding your car with third-party tools may void parts of your warranty; that's between you and BMW.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time — see the Privacy policy . We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Any dispute that can't be settled by email lands in the competent courts of Romania.
